Claiming Prizes in North Carolina

It couldn’t be much simpler to claim Cash Pop prizes in North Carolina, as you can just visit a local retailer in most cases, or mail in your winning ticket if you’re due a really big payout. Find out more about how to claim below, and make sure to keep your tickets safe until you come forward.

Claim in Person

If you’ve won under $600 (which is all the possible payouts for $1 and $2 plays), the easiest way to claim is to go to an NC Lottery retailer and hand in your ticket. You’ll receive your cash in return.

Alternatively - you can go to one of the five regional offices – in Asheville, Greensboro, Charlotte, Greenville or Wilmington – or to the NC Lottery Headquarters in Raleigh if you need to redeem a winning ticket worth more than $600. The address of the NC LOttery HQ is shown here:

Claim By Mail

You can claim any Cash Pop prize – even the maximum $2,500 - by mail. Make sure the ticket is signed and include all the required documentation. Send it in to the North Carolina Lottery at the following address and allow time for it to be processed.

Required Documentation

To claim a prize of more than $600, you’ll need to complete a claim form and provide your Social Security card. Photo ID is also required – such as a passport or driver’s license – to verify your name, signature and age.

All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date. If you miss this deadline, your ticket will no longer be valid and you will not be eligible to receive your payout.
