Claiming Mississippi Cash Pop Prizes

Claiming prizes in Mississippi is a simple process, but what you need to do exactly depends on how much you win. Regardless of the amount, you must come forward to claim your prize in the first 180 calendar days after the draw date. After this deadline has passed, your ticket will no longer be valid and any prizes that are yet to be paid out will be regarded as unclaimed. Find out more about how to claim prizes.

Prizes of $600 or less

For a Cash Pop prize of up to $600, you can redeem your winnings at any Mississippi Lottery retailer. All you need to do is hand in your lucky ticket – there’s no need for a claim form – and the retailer will validate the win before paying out the cash.

The other option for smaller prizes is to claim them by mail. Make sure the back of your ticket is signed, then send it in to the following address:

Mississippi Lottery Corporation
P.O. Box 321462
Flowood, MS 39232

Prizes of $600 or More

If you win $600 or more in Cash Pop, you can either mail in your ticket or claim in person from the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters in Flowood.

For mail-in claims worth at least $600, you have to attach a completed claim form and a valid form of identification which verifies your name, signature, photo, age and Social Security number.

Prizes of this value are subject to state and federal taxes. For state taxes, Cash Pop prizes will generally fall into the lowest tax rate in Mississippi’s sliding scale, but you should consult a financial expert for more advice based on your individual circumstances.

Lost and Damaged Tickets

It is your responsibility to keep any tickets safe that you purchase!

If your entry gets lost, you are unlikely to be able to claim any prizes it might have been due. All you can do is sign the back of it to prevent anyone else from claiming it, and hope they report it to the Mississippi Lottery as being found.

You won’t be able to claim a prize if your ticket is damaged so much that it can’t be validated. Tickets are also regarded as void if they fail to meet the requirements of the game rules, and the liability of a void ticket is limited to a replacement of the ticket or a refund of the retail sales price.
