How to Play VA Cash Pop
Playing Cash Pop couldn’t be simpler. There are just a few rules to follow and then you can sit back and wait for the next drawing to take place. There are five draws a day – Coffee Break, Lunch Break, Rush Hour, Prime Time and After Hours. Go to the Cash Pop Draw Schedule to see all the times. Tickets remain available right up until 15 seconds before a draw is held. Here is how to play the Cash Pop VA lottery:
Select your number(s) from 1 to 15. You are only required to choose one, and you can get an Easy Pick if you want a random selection. However, you are allowed to pick as many of the 15 numbers as you wish. Mark the ‘Cover All’ option to enter every number and get a guaranteed win.
Decide how much to wager - $1, $2, $5 or $10. If you pay more per Pop, the maximum prize you can win is higher. The prize value assigned to your ticket is always somewhere between 5x and 250x your wager amount.
Choose how many drawings to enter. You can play just the next drawing, or two, three, four or five in succession. A separate ticket is issued for each drawing.
Pay for your entries. The total cost is the number of Pops played multiplied by your wager amount and the number of drawings. For example, if you pick two number at a cost of $3 each, and enter them in four drawings, the total you must pay is $24 (2 x 3 x 4).
You can’t cancel a Cash Pop ticket, so make sure you are happy with your selections before you hand over your money to the retailer.
When you receive your ticket, you will see a prize value alongside each of the numbers you have selected. This is the amount you would win if that number is selected as the winner. The prize can therefore be very different from player to player or draw to draw, as the value is randomly assigned based partly on how much has been wagered.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
If you match the winning number, the least you can win is 5x your wager amount, which would be $5 for a $1 wager or $50 for a $10 play. The most you can win is $250 for a $1 wager, or $2,500 for a stake of $10.
